had this little probe 13yrs and want to keep it another 13. runs great. never a problem. and gas mileage? unbelievable! I go FOREVER on one tank of gas. I have a second car as well, but drive the probe because of the excellent gas mileage.

My Probe finally bit the dust after 18+ years and 371,000 miles. I can say I know this car well. I put a second engine in it at 200,000 miles, although it is unclear if the original engine could have done a lot better with more competent mechanic work. Overall, it was a good car. It handles very well. It was fun to drive. Even with a 2.0L engine, I almost always took off from stoplights faster than those around me without straining the engine at all. It helped to have manual transmission. The one real downside was the interior design was of very poor quality. I don't think I abused the interior in any way, but both door panels came loose with less that 150,00 miles on the car. The vents lost their ability to adjust. The power window controls coloring wore off at around 50,000 miles. The glove compartment light sometimes did not go off due to poor fit of the door. It's not that any of the features were bad, it's just that they were not made to handle normal use. Obviously you can't buy this car new now, but if you don't have kids and want a fun car that gets good gas mileage, this would be a good choice. For the last 100,000 miles, I paid very little for engine repair work. It just kept going. Unfortunately, mine is on its way to the salvage yard, but I got my money's worth.

Paid 900 for it, have a borla catback and tailpipe, great gas mileage, great handling, and rides suprisingly smooth. Putting a couple cup holders in there wouldn't have hurt though
